The St. Clair County Economic Development Council (SCCEDC) celebrates the opening of the new Col. Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home.  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on November 3, 2012 at 10:30am.  Over 400 people attended to see the new facility and be a part of the festivities.

In 2004, the St. Clair County Commission loaned the SCCEDC funds to purchase the property where Jefferson State Community College, St. Vincent’s St. Clair, and the new Col. Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home now reside.   Because of this effort, the SCCEDC was able to donate property for both of these projects to help fulfill the organization’s mission to create jobs and improve the quality of life for St. Clair County residents.

The SCCEDC welcomes the residents and employees of the Col. Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home to St. Clair County, and we are thankful to have been a part of such a momentous occasion.
