Taxes in St. Clair County are comparably low, giving your company an advantage in doing business. There are no occupational or inventory taxes in St. Clair County, and property taxes are low.

Sales Tax

St. Clair County has 2 different tax rates. The County rate for sales made into the City Limits of Pell City is 1%, while the County rate for sales made in all other locations (including all other cities, towns and unincorporated areas) in the County is 2%. Reduced Automotive, Farm Machinery, and Manufacturing Machinery rates apply to sales and use taxes.

St. Clair County Rental/Lease and Lodgings Tax rates are: 1%  inside the City Limits of Pell City, and 2% in all other locations in the County.
